Who We Are
We are volunteers living in Nepal and trying to do our bit to help those animals that have been mistreated, abandoned or at risk.
Our day jobs are not related to animal welfare but seeing many cases of mistreats street animals, we wanted to do something to help. At the moment we are providing a foster home for those dogs that need immediate assistance but cannot be housed at the shelters mainly because of the risk of catching diseases from other dogs,
After the dogs are given loads of love, care and attention, we need to find them loving homes. We always try and match them with families in Nepal - this is however not always possible due to the fact that many Nepalese households only want to keep pedigree dogs. The result is that there are around 30,000 dogs living on the streets of Kathmandu and many more all around Nepal.
We are trying to help the animal shelters already set up in Nepal as they do not have the capacity to look after all the dogs that need their assistance. From our experience, most of the dogs that we have seen here are the most amazing creatures, just wanting love and affection.
We are working with an amazing lady, Sneha, who runs her own shelter in Kathmandu. She has many rescued dogs in her care that urgently need permanent homes. Please visit her site for the latest updates from the shelter http://snehazcare.org
We will help with organising all the vaccinations and paperwork in Nepal so you don't have to worry about anything. As we do not get any funding for this, you will be responsible for the transport cost of the dogs to your country but we will not charge anything for arranging anything in Nepal.
